Today, I am spreading the message and sharing this image from the post I read at Eco Fashion World.
Fashion Revolution is about bringing awareness and remembering the 1133 killed and over 25oo injured when the Rana Plaza factory collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh on April 24, 2013. In addition to the countless factory fires that have occurred prior and since Rana Plaza, which have injured and killed others in the fashion supply chain process.
The theme of the first Fashion Revolution Day is Who Made Your Clothes?
As shared from the website,
With one simple gesture #insideout, we ask you to question who made your clothes (and no, we don’t mean which brand….we mean “who?”, literally!) Imagine the thread from the garment, to the machinists who sewed it, all the way down to the farmer who grew the cotton.
The goal is initiate curiosity, while raising awareness that “buying” is only the last click in a long journey involving hundreds of people: “the invisible workforce behind the clothes we wear”.
SHARE IT, LIKE IT, TWEET IT, SPEAK IT, WEAR IT. . . INSIDE OUT!
